Your smartphone already has everything you need – camera, GPS, and sensors. No extra hardware required. Setup in under two minutes.

Only your smartphone! Unlike action-cam solutions or DIY setups, you need no additional hardware. RaceTrace uses your phone's built-in camera and GPS sensors. A standard car phone mount is enough for most uses; motorsport-compliant mounts are coming soon. No OBS, no dedicated streaming server, no technical know-how required.

RaceTrace reads your smartphone sensors automatically and overlays them on your live video: GPS position and speed, G-forces, acceleration, and tilt. No configuration needed – just stream and telemetry appears automatically.

A live stream uses around 0.5–1.5 GB per hour depending on quality and signal. Plan about 1 GB of mobile data per hour of streaming. Over Wi‑Fi – e.g. in the pits – no mobile data is used.

In the car you need a stable mobile connection (at least 4G/LTE) for reliable video. If the connection drops, it reconnects automatically – you don't need to do anything. Mount the phone where signal is good; in the pits you can use Wi‑Fi. If signal fluctuates, RaceTrace lowers quality instead of dropping the stream.

Streaming, camera, and GPS use power – the healthier your battery, the longer you stream without external power. A new smartphone typically lasts up to two hours in one go. To be safe or to stream longer, we recommend external power: a power bank or a connection to the car's electrical system.

€0.50 per minute of streaming time (€30 per hour). No subscription, no base fee. Top up prepaid balance and pay only when you stream. Balance never expires, and unused balance can be withdrawn anytime.

Top up anytime in the web app at www.RaceTrace.de in your dashboard under “Balance”. Payment is secure via Stripe. The amount is credited to your prepaid account immediately so you can stream right away. No subscription, no minimum term, no nonsense! Unused balance can also be withdrawn anytime.

We warn you in time when balance is low. If it runs out during an active stream, the stream is ended automatically. You can top up anytime and start a new stream afterwards.

Your race broadcast is private by default. Only people with access to your team account can watch – ideal for test drives, training, or exclusive events. Your team simply logs into the web app's online dashboard and follows your stream live.

RaceTrace supports Android and iOS devices. The app uses your phone's camera and sensors for video, audio, and telemetry. For reliable streaming we recommend stable 4G/LTE or 5G.

All your streams are saved in your dashboard. There you see history, costs, and metadata of past broadcasts and can manage them.

Yes! All your video streams are saved in the dashboard. So after you end a stream you can download them for 90 days in the RaceTrace web app dashboard and analyze and share them at your leisure. Because after the race is before the race!
